The Kit: Why We Make It This Way

Honest Materials: We use Italian-textured Fabriano paper. It’s heavy enough to handle the water and archival enough to hold the blue for many years.

No Darkroom Required: This isn’t about expensive gear. It’s about chemistry, tap water, and the light hitting your windowsill. It’s as at home in a city flat as it is in a garden.

The Circular Approach: We don’t believe in buying new for the sake of it. Each kit includes a pre-loved mixing bowl – thrifted and cleaned – giving a second life to an object while you create something new.

What’s Inside the Box

20 Sheets of A5 Fabriano Paper: Substantial, textured, and ready for the brush.

The Chemistry: Dry components ready to be woken up with water.

Sponge Brushes: For the physical act of coating the emulsion.

Lightproof Envelope: To protect your paper once you’ve prepared it.

A Pre-loved Mixing Bowl: A unique, upcycled piece for your process.

The Blueprint: Clear, jargon-free instructions to guide your hands.

A Wild Darkroom Postcard: To keep, or to send.
